Designed with a heavy-duty steel structure, this wide wood fire grate features thick 0.75" square tines with a bent design and a reflective fireback to shield the fireplace's back wall from excessive heat. The grate allows a magnificent wall of warmth-producing fireplace embers to develop at the base of the grate. At the same time, firewood burns slowly and is controlled above. The vertical design initiates a self-feeding fire, promoting a much hotter and cleaner burn. This firewood grate lifts wood off the ground or chimney floor, allowing the ash to fall to the bottom and maintain constant airflow.
