Grade A teak is naturally well suited to outdoor use and develops a soft silver-gray patina when left untreated, or you can maintain its original golden tone with periodic oiling. Corten steel develops a rich, rustic finish as it weathers, giving your outdoor space a warm look without the need for painting or refinishing.

Some things to consider when choosing a planter are how much space you have in your outdoor area, how big of a planter you need to keep your plants healthy, the aesthetic you're going for, and the type of material that will do best in your climate.

Your planter size will depend on the size you expect the plant to grow to at its fullest. For plants that typically grow larger and have an extensive root system, it's best to go for a larger planter. However, if you put a small plant in a planter that is too large, water might accumulate in the soil and cut off the plant's air supply, which could result in root rot. Generally, the planter should be at least twice the diameter of its root ball. Ensure the planter has enough depth as well, especially for plants with deep root systems.

Wipe cushions with mild soap and water, then let them air dry completely before storing. Avoid bleach or harsh cleaners, as they can break down the fabric coating over time. Most of our cushions have machine washable covers for quick cleaning.
